Inheriting the grand spirit of Gyeongsang region, Mt. Muhak (761.4m) is an awesome destination in rhododendrons dye the peak pastel pink in May. After dominating the horizon from the summit, a satisfying bowl of pine mushroom hot pot that replenishes your inner energy completes this majestic climb.
”As a resting place for city residents, it was selected in consideration of the cute ridge with good scenery and the good view of the archipelago. The rocks around Sirubong on the northwest side of the summit are a good rock climbing training ground. The water quality is so good that the brewing industry has thrived since ancient times. At the entrance to Seowongol is Gwanhaejeong Pavilion, built by Choi Chi-won's disciples, and nearby Wongaksa Temple and Baekunsa Temple are famous.
Muhaksan Mountain has many mountain trails centered around Masan. The hike begins at the entrance to Seowongok in Gyobang-dong. When you walk along the road and reach the parking lot, you pass the octagonal pavilion and the path continues into the forest by the stream. If you continue to climb along the valley, a good path goes up the mountainside and you will come to a fork in the road at Muhak Falls. When you come back after seeing the waterfall, it is a steep mountain path. Worm Rock is a 15-minute hike from the waterfall. From Geurimbawi Rock, past Seomajigi, climb the log stairs, and pass the heliport to reach the summit. If you go down to the west, the road leads to the slope on the left side of the western peak. When you climb to Peak 715 on the south side of Forsythia Garden, the road leading up Hakbong Ridge and the ridge road leading to Daegoksan Mountain's Mannal Pass diverge. If you head towards Namneung from Jalogi between the summit and Seobong, you will come across Forsythia Garden. If you go down 200m towards Oksugol from here, there is a mist spring that is said to have the best water in Masan.
