Korea Mountain Weather Station (hereinafter the "Service") values your privacy and establishes this Privacy Policy to protect users' personal information and handle related inquiries efficiently in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea.
Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information)
The Service processes minimal personal information for the following purposes. Processed data will not be used for purposes other than those specified below, and if the purpose changes, the Service will implement necessary measures such as obtaining separate consent under applicable laws.
1. Feng Shui & Group Mountain Match Results: One-time in-browser Five Elements analysis and mountain matching based on nicknames, questionnaire choices, or birth dates entered by users.
2. Inquiry Resolution: Communication and answers to inquiries sent via email.
3. Service Performance & Traffic Statistics: Traffic optimization and system error resolution.
Article 2 (Categories of Data Processed)
The Service does not have user accounts or membership systems, and thus does not collect standard personally identifiable information (real name, phone number, etc.). However, the following data may be processed or entered during service usage:
1. User Inputs (Compatibility Features): Nicknames, questionnaire choices, or solar birth dates for the user and companions. These inputs are used only for in-browser calculation and are not sent to the server.
2. Automatically Logged Items: IP address, cookies, access logs, browser type, and operating system.
Article 3 (Processing and Retention Period)
1. Nicknames, choices, and birth dates entered in compatibility features are processed temporarily in browser memory, are not sent to the server, and are not stored in any database.
2. Information collected via email inquiries (name, email address, query content) is kept for 1 year to respond and trace conversations, after which it is completely destroyed.
Article 4 (Provision and Consignment to Third Parties)
The Service processes personal information only within the scopes defined in Article 1 and does not provide or consign users' personal information to third parties without prior explicit consent.
Article 5 (Rights of the Data Subject and Method of Exercise)
1. Users can exercise their rights to request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of their personal data.
2. To exercise these rights, users can contact the Privacy Officer via email (angyun@gmail.com), and the Service will handle it without delay.
3. Questionnaire answers and birth dates exist only temporarily in the browser. After the page is closed or refreshed, the Service holds no record that can be accessed or deleted.
Article 6 (Destruction of Personal Information)
1. The Service immediately destroys personal information when it becomes unnecessary due to expiration of the retention period or completion of purposes.
2. Destruction Method: Electronic records are permanently deleted using techniques that prevent retrieval. Printed papers are shredded.
Article 7 (Measures to Secure Data Safety)
The Service implements security measures to ensure data safety:
1. Technical Measures: Secure data transmission protocols (HTTPS/SSL encryption).
2. Administrative Measures: Appointment of a Privacy Officer and minimal administrative access.
