"Excellent weather conditions for climbing."
Inheriting the grand spirit of Gyeongsang region, Cheonseongsan Mountain (920.2m) is an awesome destination in golden silver grass waves in the autumn breeze in October. After dominating the horizon from the summit, a satisfying bowl of hot pork soup and grilled beef patties in the bustling market alley completes this majestic climb.
”The scenery is so outstanding that it is called a miniature version of Mt. Geumgang. In particular, it was selected for its high ecological value, such as the wide grasslands and mountain wetlands developed at the top of the mountain, which are home to rare plants such as sundew and aquatic insects. In the spring, azaleas and azaleas, and in the fall, silver grass on the ridge create a spectacular sight. Naewonsa Temple is said to have been founded by Master Wonhyo.
This is the most popular course representing Mt. Cheonseong. There is a paved road up to Naewonsa Temple, so you can climb up as easily as taking a walk. The actual hike begins just before Naewonsa Temple, entering the valley directly without crossing the bridge. If you follow the gentle yet natural valley and climb the final steep slope, you will be on the ridge where you can see Bukbong Peak right in front of you. From Bukbong Peak, the vast silver grass field of Hwaeombeol near the summit is clearly visible. To the north, Dinosaur Ridge, reminiscent of Mt. Seorak, shines, and the peaks of the Yeongnam Alps rise in the distance. The road to Eunsu Pass runs parallel to the forest road. Afterwards, you follow the gentle uphill path to Hwaeombeol, but you cannot actually reach the top. This is because land mines were buried everywhere when the military was stationed there a long time ago. Hwaeom Wetland, located slightly below the summit and above the Seobukneung, is also an environmental protection area and is not accessible. To get to Hongnyongsa Temple, you have to go down from Hwaeom Wetland to the southeastern valley. If you continue following the ridge, you will come to Beacon Mound, and if you follow the traverse path to the south, you will come to Wonhyoam Hermitage.
