It is said that when Ok-nyeo, who lost her mother when she was young, grew up beautifully, her father, who had betrayed the law of heaven, tried to rape her, so Ok-nyeo threw herself from a steep peak into the sea. Not only does the shape of the ridged mountain peak resemble a woman's breast, but according to feng shui, the mountain is shaped like Oknyeo Tangeum, where a woman plays the harp, adding strength to the origin of the name Oknyebong.
