The road up from Beopnyeon-dong is a hill from the beginning. After 20 minutes of strenuous climbing, it becomes gentle. The path leading up to Jangan Mountain is densely lined with trees, blocking out the sunlight, and there are well-placed signposts, so it is not difficult to find the way. . The summit is a heliport, so it is unfortunate that there is no shade from trees. From the summit toward Muryeong Pass, a field of silver grass stands spectacularly, and there is a spring located on the road leading to Muryeong Pass. The road leading from the top of the hill to Beonam-myeon is unpaved, and Muryeong Pass has restrooms, a campsite, and a snack bar.

The starting point is longevity. Buses from Jangsu to Deoksan-ri run twice at 08:35 and 16:30, and the fare for a taxi is around 10,000 won. There is no public transportation to Muryeong Pass, so you have to go to Goemok or Daegok-ri, the villages below the pass, and then walk up to the pass. A local bus runs from Gyenam-myeon to Goemok six times a day. Buses run from Janggye-myeon to Daegok-ri four times a day. Exit the Jangsu IC on the Daejeon-Tongyeong Expressway, take National Highway No. 19, enter Jangsu-eup, turn left at the intersection with Local Road No. 742, and you will reach Beopnyeon-dong in Deoksan-ri, the head of the hiking trail. When you pass Beopnyeon-dong and reach Joongjeong, you will meet local road 743. If you turn left at the intersection, you will reach Muryeong Pass.
