After passing the Uiam Dam ticket office, the actual hike begins at Samak Mountain Lodge. If you pass the rocky area overlooking Uiam Lake and climb up the ridge on the right, a gentle and charming path leads to the southwest. If you climb the steep stone stairs, you will soon arrive at Sangwonsa Temple. As you climb up while admiring the panoramic view of Chuncheon city and Uiam Lake, you will come to Kkalttak Pass, where you have to hold on to the rocky path. Although the steep rocky path is not easy, there are handrails and safety facilities for stepping on. Although it is a dizzying climb up the rocky cliffs, the beautiful scenery is superb. The small rock peak (640m), located a little short of the summit of Samaksan Mountain, offers a more spectacular view than the view from the summit of Samaksan Mountain. The summit of Samaksan Mountain, which is a rocky area, is Yonghwabong Peak, 654 meters above sea level. When descending the mountain, you enter the Deungseon Falls trail, which is 3.2km away, and the steep downhill continues past the stone steps to Heungguksa Temple. From Heungguksa Temple, the gentle path continues for a while, and you can continue along the Deungseon Falls hiking trail.
