Embracing fertile plains and highly picturesque valleys, Moak Mountain (795.2m) is truly magnificent in cherry blossoms and flower petals rain down in April. Climbing past the tranquil temple courtyard leads to an immense view. A feast of Jeolla-style mountain vegetable bibimbap and freshwater crab soup afterward completes the journey.

This course takes you from Geumsansa Temple, the core of the mountain, to the west tomb, near the summit, and then to the north tomb. It is impossible to climb to the top because the broadcasting tower is holding on. The road is flat while following Geumsansa Valley. However, once you reach Seoreung, it is a series of steep climbs through the bamboo forest until you reach the three-way intersection. After the three-way intersection, the climb continues, albeit gently. There is a heliport at Peak 730 above Jureung and it has a good view. It is an intersection that connects Simwonam and the road leading up from Jungung-dong. When you get almost to the top, turn left (east) along the iron fence. Yes, climb up on a rock with a good view and look down at the blue water of Gui Reservoir, then head to Mujebong Peak. The road down from Mujebong Peak is so smooth and good that it is called the Silk Road.
The starting point is Jeonju, but it is convenient to go via Gimje. It takes 15 minutes by taxi from Gimje Station to Geumsansa Temple. To Gimzer, the Honam Line KTX runs 6 times and the train runs 19 times. In Jeonju, take city buses to Jungung-dong, Geumsansa Temple, or Gui. Exit the Honam Expressway at Geumsansa IC. If you pass Wonpyeong and follow the signs, you will reach Geumsansa Temple. To go to Gui, exit at Seojeonju IC, take local road No. 716, turn right at the Wansan-gu Office intersection, and take national road No. 27 2km ahead.
