Deokhangsan Mountain Weather★ 100 Famous Peak

This is the course that offers the best view of Deokhangsan Mountain. Because you climb up the ridge, you can take a look at the strangely shaped rocks that rise up along the foot of the mountain, and when you're almost done descending, you can see the highlight, Natural Monument No. 178, Hwanseon Cave. The starting point is the yard of Lee Jong-dae's house in Golmal. From there, you cross the iron bridge, pass the persimmon trees, and begin your hike by climbing the steep slope of the larch forest path. From the observatory rock, you can see Chotdae Rock, Seolpae Rock, and Mireukbong Peak at a glance. Afterwards, you climb three iron stairs of about 150 meters, 40 meters, and 200 meters, and when you finish the last staircase that goes back up the mountainside, you reach the temple at the Jureungsang intersection. The road from Anbu to the summit to Hwanseonbong Peak and Jaamjae is not difficult. However, the road down to Jaamgol is steep and slippery, so be careful.

The starting point is Taebaek and Samcheok. From Taebaek, the route to Jeomchon runs 8 times, and from Samcheok, the route to Daeiri runs 9 times. Outside of Gangwon-do, cities with buses to Taebaek are Seoul, Incheon, Suwon, Seongnam, Uijeongbu, Goyang, Ansan, Pohang, Daegu, Andong, Bonghwa, and Yecheon, and for Samcheok, buses run from Seoul, Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongju, Pohang, Uljin, Daegu, and Daejeon. It is convenient to take the train that runs four times a day and get off at Taebaek or Dogye Station. The Taebaek Line from Cheongnyangni arrives at Dogye Station at 10:00, 14:00, and 17:00, and the Yeongdong Line arrives at Dogye Station at 5:50. ① Yeongdong Expressway → Donghae Expressway Donghae IC → National Highway No. 7 → National Highway No. 38 from Samcheok toward Taebaek. ②To go to Jeommal, take local road No. 424 from Miro, cross Daejae, and then take national road No. 35 from Sugam Bridge. ③ When coming from the Yeongnam region, take national road No. 7, then take provincial road No. 416 from Wondeok (Hosan) to Taebaek and then turn onto national road no. 38 or 35. ④Jungang Expressway Yeongju IC → National Road No. 28 toward Yeongju → National Road No. 36 from Yeongju → National Road No. 35 from Beopjeon is also possible.
