Inheriting the grand spirit of Gyeongsang region, Daeyasan Mountain (931m) is an awesome destination in rhododendrons dye the peak pastel pink in May. After dominating the horizon from the summit, a satisfying bowl of pine mushroom hot pot that replenishes your inner energy completes this majestic climb.

The hike starts from Beolbawi Village. Even before entering the mountain path, the white shaman shrine in front of the guesthouse village that looks like it was laid out on marble catches your eye. Yongchupok, the highlight of Daeya Mountain, can be reached in 5 minutes. Legend has it that Yongchu is a place where two dragons, a male and a female, ascended to the sky. The layered baths reach their peak in a heart-shaped cylindrical groove. The reason Daeyasan is known as a mountain with strong yin energy is because this heart-shaped rock is reminiscent of a woman's vagina. If you climb up Yongchugol, you will reach Wolyeongdae. A wide rock is set up like a drinking table. As you enter Darae Valley, you will see a signpost for Sagi Cave, the site of an old port. Afterwards, if you climb up Miljae, you will reach the Baekdudaegan Ridge. On the way to the summit, Elephant Rock, Daemun Rock, Jangrong Rock, and Mushroom Rock appear one after another. When you get to the top and come down to Piagol, there are ropes tied all over the place. After passing Geonpok, you can get off at Wolyeongdae for about an hour.
